Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Dr. Fred Matiang’i has vowed to steer a renewed push for unity and political maturity in Kenya, pledging to rebuild the party into a movement anchored on integrity, inclusivity, and service.
Speaking during the Jubilee Party delegates’ meeting held at Thika Green in Murang’a County, Matiang’i said the time had come for Kenyans to rise above divisive politics and focus on rebuilding the country’s institutions and trust in leadership.
“Our country needs hope and reconciliation. Jubilee will be the platform that unites all Kenyans, regardless of background or belief,” he said.
Matiang’i, who served in various Cabinet positions under former President Uhuru Kenyatta, praised the former Head of State for his leadership and commitment to development, saying he intends to continue that spirit through issue-driven engagement.
“I worked with President Uhuru Kenyatta for ten years and learnt a lot from his style of leadership. I will dedicate my energy to strengthening Jubilee and ensuring his legacy of peace and development endures,” Matiang’i said.
He affirmed that the Jubilee Party would not engage in politics of insults or tribal divisions, but instead focus on building alliances with like-minded leaders to deliver meaningful change.
“We will work with other members of the united opposition and deliver a government that prioritizes ordinary Kenyans,” he added.
Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni echoed Matiang’i’s remarks, saying the party was revamping its grassroots structures and preparing to play a central role in shaping Kenya’s next political phase.
“We are ready to unite the country and work as a team. Jubilee is not just reviving; it is reawakening,” Kioni said.
