Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Geoffrey Ruku has commended the Masaku Elders for reaffirming their commitment to national unity, development, and collaboration with the government.

Speaking during the Masaku Elders Declaration held in Machakos Town, Ruku said the guidance of elders is essential in providing sober leadership and promoting the country’s interests, particularly at a time when misinformation and the misrepresentation of facts threaten national cohesion.

He lauded the elders for declaring that they would prioritize Kenya’s interests while working to accelerate the development of the wider Eastern region through partnerships with the government and other development stakeholders.

Ruku described the Masaku Elders as wise leaders and urged them to continue working with like-minded Kenyans to foster peace, unity, and sustainable development across the country.

The declaration underscored the elders’ commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at advancing socio-economic development in the Eastern region while promoting national prosperity.
