American pop star Lady Gaga and her fiancé, tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky, have officially welcomed their first child, as they were seen nursing a baby while she took stroll with her fiancé.
The news was confirmed on September 11, when the couple were in Marin County, Northern California. The 40-year-old had not officially announced she was pregnant during her tour in April, but she welcomed her first child this week.
Lady Gaga, has been affectionately known as “Mother Monster,” chose to keep the details of the baby’s birth private, including the name, sex and birth date. This is the first child for both Gaga and Michael.

It’s also known that the couple did not announce they were engaged to be married, with Gaga referring to Michael as her fiancé in July 2024. Later that year, she confirmed Michael proposed in April 2024 during an interview.
“He proposed to me right after my birthday, so my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was gonna propose … He wanted to know if it was OK to propose before he proposed. And I was like, ‘Yes, it’s so OK!,” Gaga said.
Gaga has often spoken about her desire to have children, describing motherhood as her ultimate goal and next starring role. Her transition into motherhood feels like a natural evolution of her persona, who has always embraced transformation.
