The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a 30-day ultimatum to traders with goods lying idle at the Nairobi Inland Container Depot (ICD) to clear their cargo or risk having it auctioned.
In a notice published in the Kenya Gazette, KRA warned importers and consignees that all uncollected goods will be deemed abandoned once the deadline lapses.
The authority has scheduled a public online auction from November 10 to 14, 2025, through its official electronic auction portal.
“Pursuant to Section 42 of the East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, unless the under-mentioned goods are entered and removed within thirty days, they will be sold by public auction,” the notice stated.
