The four-ball team of Nicholas Korir, Leonard Kiplangat, Munga Marisoi, and Benson Magolo emerged overall winners of the seventh leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held at the Kericho Golf Club, returning a combined score of 104 points.

Hot on their heels was the team of Bill Kalya, Ben Kalya, Judy Chebon, and Debra Koske, who posted an impressive 103 points to finish second. Both teams have now qualified to represent Kericho at the tour’s grand finale in December.

The tournament attracted 112 golfers across 18 teams, showcasing top talent and competitive spirit.

In the individual categories, Julius Rono carded 38 stableford points to edge out Frankline Kiplimo on countback, while journalist Tobias Messo returned 37 points to win in the men’s category.

Dorothy Koech clinched the ladies’ title with 35 points, narrowly beating Eunice Korir, who finished second with 34 points.

Among KCB staff, Chris Avisa, the Mumias Branch Manager, topped the leaderboard, with Peter Ndichu coming in second.

In the junior category, Anthony Cheruiyot posted 30 points to take home the top prize. The longest drive honours went to David Biegon (men) and Debra Koske (ladies), while Daniel Githinji of Nandi Golf Club won the nearest to the pin award.

The tour now heads to Nanyuki Golf Club next weekend for the eighth leg.
