Jamaican Dancehall Artist Konshens

Jamaican dancehall star Konshens has defended his love for Kenya following some people’s questioning his intentions and his relationship with East African musicians.

The artist insists that his connection with East Africa is genuine and has built over the years through mutual love, support and made collaborations with Kenyan and Ugandan artists.

“And by the way tell me which artiste has the most love and shows the most love to East African artistes over the years,” Konshens wrote in his Instagram post.

He defended his collaborations with artists from the region, including Gamululu feat Apass, Toxic, Gmoney and Ethic Entertainment.

“From my favorite, Gamululu feat Apass to hopping on Backbencher remix just because I think Toxic…remember how u felt hearing Gmoney play Figa remixes aren’t even officially released,” he added.

He challenged other Jamaican artists to mention any person they have supported in East African music more than he has.

Previously, he was associated with other East African musicians, collaborating with Ugandan artists such as Pallaso and Jose Chameleone, as well as Kenyan artist KRG The Don.

Fans and followers cheered him on, saying Konshens has been a good artist for a long time.

Richie Khiid: Hot grabba za oldskool zake hukua fire.

Lucy Maina: Well done, of course it true.

King Jimenez : Sasa tunataka achague kati yetu na Uganda.
