Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has chaired his first Cabinet Committee meeting since assuming office as Kenya’s second-in-command.
The meeting, held today at the official DP’s residence in Karen.
On his social media platforms, Kindiki shared that he led the inaugural meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Governance, Social Sector, and Public Administration.
The meeting was attended by several Cabinet Secretaries, including John Mbadi (National Treasury and Economic Planning), Julius Migos Ogamba (Education), Eric Muriithi Mugaa (Water, Irrigation, and Sanitation), Beatrice Askul Moe (East African Community, ASALs, and Regional Development), Kipchumba Murkomen (Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports), and Rebecca Miano (Tourism and Wildlife).

Also present were Soipan Tuya (Defence), Alfred Mutua (Labour and Social Protection), Debra Barasa (Health), Dorcas Oduor (Attorney General), and the Secretary to the Cabinet, Mercy Wanjau.
Since his swearing-in as Deputy President on November 1, Kindiki has been involved in various national and international assignments.
Last week, he represented President William Ruto at the swearing-in ceremony of Botswana’s newly elected President, Duma Boko.
