Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday held consultations with leaders from Nandi County to review the progress of ongoing government development projects and discuss strategies for accelerating implementation.

The meeting, held in Karen, Nairobi, brought together Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Senator Samson Cherargei and Members of the National Assembly from the county.

According to the Deputy President, the discussions focused on the status, pace and impact of projects in key sectors, including electricity, water, roads, education, healthcare and market infrastructure.

Kindiki said regular engagement with elected leaders provides the government with critical feedback on the implementation of projects and helps identify priority areas requiring additional support and investment.

“Regular engagement with elected leaders provides crucial feedback on the status, pace and impact of development projects in their areas of representation. The engagement is also important for the identification of future priority projects,” Kindiki said.

The Deputy President noted that the leaders agreed on modalities for fast-tracking the implementation of the projects to ensure residents begin benefiting from them as soon as possible.

He also encouraged leaders from the county to continue working together in support of the government’s development agenda, saying collaboration between national and county leaders remains essential for effective service delivery.
