The Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) has officially announced the national men’s and women’s teams set to represent the country at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Ismailia, Egypt, from October 11 to 18, 2025.
KHU President Nahashon Randiek confirmed the selection of 18 players for each team, describing the announcement as a major step forward in Kenya’s mission to reclaim its position among Africa’s top hockey nations.
The national team coach highlighted the squads’ balance of seasoned players and emerging talent, including several standout performers from the recent U21 tournament in Namibia.
“Our target is to qualify for both the African Games and the Olympics,” said Randiek. “This tournament marks the beginning of a four-year training program aligned with our strategic plan. It’s a crucial foundation for our long-term goals.”
