Kenyan celebrities are speaking out following the emotional and chaotic aftermath of the recent Saba Saba protests. As citizens across the country voiced their frustration over corruption, inequality, and governance failures, public figures used their platforms to echo the pain and anger felt on the ground.

In a strongly worded Instagram post, celebrity Lydia Wanjiru shared what she called a “Prayer of Fire for Kenya.” after saba saba protests .Her message, delivered with a mix of spiritual conviction and righteous indignation, condemned the actions of corrupt politicians and law enforcement officers. “You’ve seen police officers beat, extort and kill instead of protect,” she wrote. “You’ve seen government officials loot hospital funds, swallow bursaries, eat roads, and bury Kenya’s future.”

Wanjiru’s post included a plea for divine justice: “Lord, arise and let your judgment fall like thunder.” Her caption, marked with #PrayForKenya and a Kenyan flag emoji, quickly went viral as followers resonated with her grief and frustration.Similarly, Kenyan comedian Njugush made a subtle but powerful statement by sharing a picture of the Kenyan flag alongside a heartbreak emoji. Though wordless, the image spoke volumes — a silent expression of sorrow for a nation in distress.

Musician Otile Brown also joined in, expressing disbelief and despair through a meme-style post that read: “SMH! Eish! I weep for my country 🇰🇪 wah! wah! wah!” The post captured his disappointment in a system that many feel has failed its people.
