Kenya is seizing a critical opportunity to recalibrate its trade ties with China.
Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, attended the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) in Changsha, Hunan Province.
Mudavadi noted that Kenya’s participation in the Expo marks a transformative moment.
With China-Africa trade hitting a record USD 295.5 billion in 2024, the Cabinet Secretary urged a focus on balanced trade, value addition, and long-term sustainability.
He emphasized that the Expo goes beyond commerce, serving as a strategic platform to deepen economic ties, strengthen diplomatic relations, and attract meaningful investment.
He added that Kenya is well-positioned to lead in shaping a new era of mutually beneficial China-Africa cooperation.
