Kenya’s Quick Reaction Force (KENQRF), serving under MONUSCO in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, joined other peacekeepers in marking the International Day of UN Peacekeepers at TANZBATT Camp, Mavivi, North Kivu.

The event, themed “Fit for the Future, Building Better Together,” featured a military parade, wreath-laying, and reflections on the sacrifices and impact of peacekeepers worldwide.

Acting MONUSCO Sub-Office Head Mr. Adam Salami Obatoki delivered a message from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, honoring over 4,400 peacekeepers lost in service.

KENQRF troops, led by Lt. Col. Simon Seda, took part in the ceremony, reaffirming Kenya’s commitment to peace and unity in the region.
