As Kenya prepares to mark Madaraka Day, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have taken their service beyond the barracks by reaching out to vulnerable children across Homa Bay County in a heartwarming show of unity and compassion

Led by Parade Commander Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Musau, KDF personnel from the Kenya Army, Kenya Air Force, and Kenya Navy carried out Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities, donating essential supplies and spending quality time with children in three institutions.

Kenya Army teams visited the Ndhiwa Children’s Home, where they delivered food, clothes, and learning materials, encouraging the children to stay focused on their dreams.

At Homa Bay Children’s Home, Kenya Air Force officers offered similar donations and held inspiring mentorship sessions with the young residents.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Navy brought smiles to children at Trobarn Children’s Academy in Ndiru, Rangwe, through storytelling, games, and motivational talks.

The outreach highlighted KDF’s enduring commitment to serving the nation not just through security, but also by uplifting communities.

As Madaraka Day approaches, these acts of kindness have reinforced the KDF’s role as a force for good devoted to the safety, dignity, and welfare of every Kenyan.
