Rising karting star Krrish Vadgama delivered a commanding performance to win the Junior Rotax category at the Kenya Rotax Max Challenge, held at the Whistling Morans circuit.

Representing Mad Max Racing, Krrish stormed to victory from pole position, outpacing a competitive field that included runner-up Alvin Kioko.

He dominated the event from the start, topping the qualifying round and sweeping all three heats.

In a thrilling third heat, he edged out Kioko by just 0.396 seconds, recording an impressive best lap time of 36.065 seconds—just shy of the track record, which he also set at 35.959 seconds.

A former national champion in the same category, Krrish credited his win to tactical cornering and precision driving, which proved crucial in holding off seasoned rivals like Myles Imbayi, who claimed third place behind Kioko.

Another standout was Magana Luusa, who bounced back from a DNF in Heat 2 to finish fifth overall, registering the third-fastest laps in Heats 1 and 3.

Krrish’s latest triumph further solidifies his status as one of Kenya’s top young talents, following in the footsteps of motorsport pioneer Tejas Hirani, who progressed from local karting circuits to the global stage with an FIA RX Lites World Championship podium finish.

Reflecting on his win, Krrish expressed gratitude to those behind his success:
“Huge thanks to my team for their dedication. My family and friends have been incredible, and a special shoutout to my mechanics for keeping my kart in top form.”
