Senator Nominated Karen Nyamu revealed that she had bought two motorbikes, one of which belonged to the late Shalkido, a talented artist whose untimely death has left many Kenyans in shock.
In a touching Instagram post, Nyamu said she was inspired by Shalkido’s story and wanted to assist him and another underprivileged youth with her kindness.
“I bought these because of Shalkido, one for him, one for another struggling youth. He never asked for a bike, he just needed help,” Nyamu posted.
The senator went on to state how devastated she is about his passing, describing how she cannot believe that a bright young life was cut short.
“Now he’s gone. We mourn you and let you rest. Such a young soul gone too soon ????,” she posted.
Her news drew myriads of reaction on social media, with some of her supporters praising her for being generous, while others were wondering why the gift did not reach Shalkido’s pockets while he was living.
Netizens could not help but ask, “Kwani alikuwa anangojea nini ndio ampatie?” doubting whether the gesture was too belated.
