Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has once again rebuked President William Ruto’s government over the reported rising cases of forced disappearances and extra-judicial killings.

Muturi revived his fight against the government after visiting Nairobi Funeral Home, formally City Mortuary, where two bodies of Martin Mwau and Justus Mutumwa of the three missing Mlolongo men are preserved.

The CS questioned the rationale for President Ruto leading a peace-finding mission in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) while insecurity escalates in Kenya.

Muturi argued that it is unacceptable for Ruto to ‘pretend’ to be solving conflicts abroad while failing to address the killings and kidnappings happening within the country, accusing the government of failing to protect its people.

"I'm calling on the government. The head of government is President William Ruto. Why are we allowing youth to be kidnapped and later found killed? Surely, what country are we? And we are pretending to solve issues in DRC?" posed Muturi.

The CS also dismissed calls for his resignation for criticising the government that he is serving in terming the push as sideshows.
