President William Ruto has reacted to Kenyans who mocked his detailed recital of the stops on the Isiolo-Mandera Road during his development tour of North Eastern Kenya.

The road went viral on social media, with a section of Kenyans creating memes over it after President Ruto waxed lyrical while announcing its construction. They made fun of the president’s mastery of North Eastern roads.

"Ndio barabara itoke Mandera, ikuje Ramu, ikuje Garre, ikuje El-Wak, ikuje Kobo, ikuje pale Kotulo, ikuje Tarbat, ipitie hapa Wajir, iende Samatan, iteremke Modogashe, ifike Isiolo..." President Ruto said before Kenyans made jests over the announcement.

Speaking on Thursday while reacting to the memes, President Ruto affirmed his knowledge of most roads in the country.

The head of state explained that it is his obligation as the president to know every part of Kenya so that no part of the country is left behind in terms of development.

"There are many people who sometimes enjoy me. I know many places. I would tell you about the roads in Northern Kenya, Central and Western and many parts of the country. It is because it is my job to know what to do where and to make sure that no part of Kenya is left behind," said Ruto.
