A letter has gone viral on social media purporting that Cleophas Malala has resigned from the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
The former Kakamega senator and youthful politician is the outfit’s secretary general.
According to the letter, Malala called it quits following President William Ruto’s move to appoint ODM-affiliated members to his new Cabinet.
However, taking to his verified social media pages, the outspoken politician stamped the viral graphic as fake.
The former Kakamega gubernatorial seat aspirant asked Kenyans to ignore the letter, insisting that UDA is stable and focused on helping the head of state deliver on his promise to Kenyans
“Ignore propaganda. The party is stable and focussed on helping President @WilliamsRuto achieve his agenda for Kenya. Chama iko Imara,” said Malala.
Ruto nominated Ali Hassan Joho to be the Cabinet secretary for the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs.
He unveiled nominated ODM MP John Mbadi as the Cabinet secretary nominee for The National Treasury and Economic Planning.
National Assembly Minority Leader James Opiyo Wandayi is the new Cabinet secretary nominee for the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
The Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development docket went to former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya.
