Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Performance and Delivery Management in the Executive Office of the President, Eliud Owalo, has assured Kenyans that the government’s development agenda remains on course.

Speaking during a mid-term review of major projects across the country, Owalo stated that the majority of government-initiated projects were progressing well and are set to be completed within their stipulated timelines. He reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering on its promises despite the prevailing political climate.”The mid-term review indicates that most key projects across the country are on track and will be implemented as scheduled,” Owalo said.

Amid increasing political discourse, Owalo emphasized that no region in Kenya would be marginalized based on its political inclination. He reaffirmed that development would be distributed equitably across the country to benefit all Kenyans, regardless of their political affiliations.

Additionally, Owalo highlighted the significant strides made in state-owned enterprises, attributing their improved performance to a shift in operational strategies, mentality, and digital adaptation.

He noted that organizations such as Kenya Airways, the Kenya Ports Authority, and Kenya Pipeline have recently recorded increased profitability, a testament to the effectiveness of ongoing reforms and modernization efforts.

The government, he added, remains committed to leveraging digitization and efficiency-driven reforms to enhance service delivery and economic growth. Owalo reassured Kenyans that the government’s focus on economic recovery and infrastructural development will yield long-term benefits for the nation.
