Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has expressed reservations about former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua being a national leader.
Wamuchomba took issue with Gachagua’s repetitive rhetoric about the Mt Kenya unity and his constant ‘fight’ for their supposed interests.
During an interview on NTV, the lawmaker urged the former DP to be sensitive to other communities and fight for their rights with the same zeal he does for the Central Kenya residents.
She questioned Gachagua’s sole push for Mt Kenya interests if indeed he is a national leader.
"As much as we advocate for our mountain issues, we also have to be sensitive to other regions. Gachagua might not agree with me, but that is a fact."
"If Gachagua wants to be a national leader, he should use the same energy and stamina to fight for other Kenyans other than just the people of Mt Kenya. That is my take; he may like it or not," said Wamuchomba.
