Gachagua Applauds Youth Talent as Cornerstone of Kenya's Cultural Revival

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua lauded the outstanding performances and creative talent of Kenyan youth at the 2024 Music Festival Winners’ State Concert, hosted by President William Ruto at the State Lodge in Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County.

Describing the concert as a display of “creativity at its best,” Gachagua highlighted the high quality and standards exhibited by this year’s winners, emphasizing the critical role that these young artists play in addressing societal challenges through their performances.

“They prick the Nation’s conscience, aptly capturing key challenges that impact society. In them lies the immense opportunity of turning their tremendous talent into an instrument for shaping the moral fibre of the Nation and promoting our collective culture,” he said.

The Deputy President expressed his admiration for the electrifying renditions presented by the winners, acknowledging their ability to inspire and positively influence the nation’s future.

He noted that such talent holds the potential to mold Kenya’s cultural identity while simultaneously promoting ethical values.

“It was exhilarating watching the electrifying renditions of the Music Festival Winners’ State Concert, 2024. We are proud of the winners, and their creativity speaks volumes about the great potential of our young people,” Gachagua remarked.

The concert, which showcased the remarkable talent of the youth from across the country, further underscored the government’s commitment to nurturing young talent through continued investment in the creative sector.

Gachagua congratulated the winners and reiterated the administration’s support for initiatives that promote artistic excellence and cultural heritage in Kenya.
