A packed weekend of golf awaits as players compete for glory across three major events, the NCBA Golf Series, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series, and the U.S. Kids Golf Fall Tour.
At the Great Rift Valley Lodge, the NCBA Golf Series will hold its next qualifying round on Saturday, where six golfers will earn coveted spots in the grand finale set for November 28 at Muthaiga Golf Club.
Qualifying slots will be awarded to the Overall Men’s Gross Winner, Overall Ladies’ Gross Winner, Division 2 Men’s and Ladies’ Winners, Division 3 Overall Winner, and the Junior Winner.
Meanwhile, the spotlight will also shine on Kericho, as the KAGC Series rolls into town with the NCBA Tea Fields Trophy at Kericho Golf Club.
The three-day tournament, running from Friday to Sunday has drawn 67 players competing for a share of the KES 500,000 prize purse.
With defending champion Titus Okwang of Uganda absent, last year’s runner-up Kevin Juma will lead the charge, joined by top contenders Sammy Mulama, Elly Barno, and Isaac Makokha, all of whom placed in the top five last year.
Third-ranked Elvis Muigua will also be in action as he aims to close the gap on KAGC leader Michael Karanga, while Ebil Omollo is another notable name in the mix.
Adding to the excitement, junior golfers will also take to the course on Sunday as the U.S. Kids Golf Fall Tour hosts two events.
The Mombasa Tour will be held at Nyali Golf Club, while Thika Sports Club will host the Nairobi Tour.
Organized in collaboration with the Junior Golf Foundation Kenya, the events are expected to attract over 200 junior players, boys and girls aged 5 to 18.
