Former Thika MP, Wainaina Jungle, has officially acquired the National Party, which was previously headed by former Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu.
According to reliable sources, Jungle acquired the party from Ngilu’s brother, Kaloki, in 2022.
Jungle had initially intended to use the National Party in the 2022 general elections but was unable to do so in time.
Instead, he opted to run for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate in the 2022 elections.
Despite this setback, he has now rebranded the National Party and assumed leadership.
The acquisition of the party marks a new chapter for Jungle, who is eager to make an impact in the upcoming political season.
