Police in Kakamega have arrested five suspects after a weekend operation that uncovered drugs and stolen household items.
The suspects were picked up in Kakamega Town on August 16 after residents tipped off authorities.
According to the National Police Service, officers seized about 1,412 rolls of bhang, along with uncustomed cigarettes 16 packets of Oris, 25 packets of Milano, and one packet of Supermatch.
They also collected purportedly stolen items, including three 6kg gas cylinders and other miscellaneous goods.
The five suspects will be brought to court today, Monday, August 18, for charging.
Police thanked members of the public for the information and urged residents to continue reporting suspected activity.
