A family in Isiolo is demanding answers from the government after their relative was allegedly abducted by police officers seven days ago while travelling to Moyale.

The family stated that 44-year-old Hassan Huka Sama was reportedly taken away by men believed to be police officers on October 4th. Witnesses say three vehicles, allegedly belonging to the police, intercepted the car Huka was travelling in before whisking him away without explanation.

The family confesses that they have reported the issue to many authorities but are still waiting for a response of an official communication about the location of their relative.

Relatives in their talk to the media said they are deeply afraid of Hukaโ€™s safety and are calling upon the government to take action and help them locate him.

They want the Ministry of the Interior and the Police Service to get to the bottom of the matter and provide information about Huka’s disappearance. At the same time, they state that the silence of the authorities has only escalated their torment.
