Kenyan gospel artist and worship minister Evelyn Wanjiru has responded to recent online misinformation regarding Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s visit to Kenya. In an official statement, she refuted claims made in a YouTube video that misrepresented the circumstances surrounding his time in the country.
According to Wanjiru, the video falsely linked these claims to Praise Atmosphere, an interdenominational worship event she has regularly hosted. She emphasized that when Pastor Nathaniel Bassey graced Praise Atmosphere in 2022, he was received with the highest level of honor, respect, and excellence.
“Any claims suggesting otherwise are simply not true and deeply misrepresent the values we uphold,” Wanjiru stated.
She further clarified that Praise Atmosphere was the second group to host Pastor Nathaniel Bassey in Kenya. If he faced any challenges during an earlier visit, those issues should not be wrongfully attributed to Praise Atmosphere. Given the event’s prominence, she acknowledged that people might assume otherwise but urged the public not to be misled by misinformation.
Wanjiru reassured her supporters that she has reached out to Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s management, and both parties are aligned in ensuring the truth prevails. His team has offered their full support and clarity on the matter.
Concluding her statement, she encouraged believers to remain committed to truth, integrity, and unity, urging them to focus on what truly matters—lifting the name of Jesus.
“Let us continue to uphold one another in love, prayer, and unity.”
As the controversy unfolds, Praise Atmosphere remains steadfast in its mission to serve God’s people with excellence and authenticity.
