Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has lauded the Boma Yangu Affordable Housing Programme, terming it a transformative initiative that is reshaping lives and communities across the country.

Passaris, who serves as a Member of the Departmental Committee on Housing in the National Assembly, said the programme goes beyond providing shelter by restoring dignity, creating employment, and stimulating inclusive economic growth.

‘“As a Member of the Departmental Committee on Housing in the National Assembly, I proudly affirm that the Boma Yangu Affordable Housing Programme is transforming lives across Kenya, bringing dignified, modern, and accessible homes closer to our people,’she said.

She added,” This initiative is not just about shelter,it’s about restoring dignity, creating jobs, and stimulating inclusive growth,’

The legislator emphasized that the Affordable Housing Programme aligns with the government’s broader social and economic agenda, noting that it has already begun uplifting low and middle-income families who previously struggled to access decent housing.

Passaris pledged continued support for the initiative in Parliament, highlighting the need for more stakeholders, including private developers and financial institutions, to actively participate in scaling up the programme for maximum impact.
