Kenyan comedian and activist Eric Omondi has shared that he sustained injuries during the Nairobi to Mombasa charity walk that seeks to raise funds for Sisi kwa Sisi Rescue Centre. The philanthropist shared updates about suffering ligament injuries on his left leg and hip during the demanding journey. Eric was attended by a medical personnel while photos of him receiving treatment in an ambulance went viral.

Despite the major setback, Omondi has asserted he is still determined to complete his mission insisting that he will continue the walk regardless of the pain.

“LAZIMA TUTAFIKA MOMBASA HATA KAMA NI BY FIRE!!! Today I tore/injured ligaments on my left leg and hip but Kesho tutaendelea hata kama tuna crawl… TEAM SISI KWA SISI I am walking from Nairobi to Mombasa to raise funds to build the SISI KWA SISI HELP and RESCUE CENTRE.”

Eric Omondi’s walk is part of his Sisi kwa sisi campaign which mobilises Kenyans to support community-driven projects. His latest fundraising project aims at constructing Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre to provide shelter vulnerable groups of people.

Eric omondi’s supporters have sent him messages of hope and rallied behind the comedianand sent him messages of encouragement advising him to push forward with the charity walk. Omondi has become famous for using his platform to champion social initiatives and gassroot activism.
