The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has introduced a new system aimed at helping motor vehicle and motorcycle owners update their duty status and vehicle records more efficiently.

According to the latest notice by the authority, the new tool, known as the duty and records update module, will serve individual owners, financial institutions, insurance firms, government agencies, vehicle dealers, and companies.

The goal is to streamline vehicle documentation and ensure the records reflect the correct information.

To begin the process, owners will need to submit a written request for the duty or records update.

The letter must include the vehicle owner’s phone number and email address. NTSA will stamp a copy of this letter to show that the documents were received and reviewed.

A copy of the owner’s ID, the original logbook, the KRA entry document, and the duty payment receipt are also required.

For full information on where to place documents, the charges and fees, and how to acquire processed documents or request a copy of a logbook, NTSA has put up a lengthy notice on its website at www.ntsa.go.ke.

Any queries or need for assistance can contact NTSA via their official email on info@ntsa.go.ke, or through their social media handles on X (@ntsa_kenya) and Facebook (@NTSAKENYA). Alternatively, visit the nearest NTSA office.

This is in line with continuous efforts by the Authority to enhance service delivery and have correct, recent records of vehicles across the board.
