The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fight against corruption and promoting ethical governance in Kenya.
The agreement was signed on Friday at the EACC’s Integrity Centre, bringing together the two institutions to enhance cooperation in corruption prevention, ethics, integrity, capacity building and good governance.
EACC Chairperson Dr David Oginde said combating corruption requires strong partnerships and collective action involving institutions across the country.
He noted that collaboration between EACC and professional bodies such as ICS would contribute to strengthening ethical standards and accountability in both public and private institutions.
EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud said the Commission was committed to ensuring the MoU translates into practical programmes and measurable results.
ICS Chairperson Jacqueline Waihenya described the partnership as an important step towards advancing good governance and strengthening efforts to combat corruption.
The partnership will also support capacity-building initiatives and promote integrity among professionals.
EACC said it will continue forging strategic partnerships to advance accountability, integrity and ethical governance across Kenya.
