Inspector General of the National Police Service Douglas Kanja has donned the newly introduced Service uniform, marking another step in the ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening professionalism and excellence in policing.
Kanja wore the new uniform on Monday, August 31, 2026, as the National Police Service continues to implement measures designed to improve the image, morale and effectiveness of its officers.
According to the National Police Service, the new uniform is more than an aesthetic change, with the Service saying it is intended to motivate officers, boost morale and project a more professional image.
The uniform is also expected to enhance the visibility of police officers as they carry out their mandate of serving and protecting Kenyan citizens, residents and visitors.
