Gospel musician Daddy Owen has shared a touching moment from his recent SolFest performance that left him deeply inspired.
Taking to social media, the Mbona hitmaker revealed that one of the most memorable highlights of the night came off stage, when comedian and activist Eric Omondi personally reached out to him. According to Daddy Owen, Eric called him on the same night of the event and casually mentioned that he was coming specifically to watch his set something the singer initially thought was a joke.
However, the reality hit when Daddy Owen walked onto the SolFest stage and spotted Eric Omondi standing right at the front, singing along to his songs word for word. The unexpected show of support moved the gospel star, who admitted he was truly inspired by the gesture.
Daddy Owen went on to praise Eric Omondi for his consistent efforts in uplifting others, noting that the work is not always easy. Drawing from his own experience running a foundation, the singer acknowledged the challenges that come with supporting people behind the scenes and publicly celebrated Eric’s commitment to impact-driven work.
In his message, Daddy Owen offered a heartfelt blessing, thanking Eric Omondi for believing in him from the early days and for showing up in a meaningful way. He ended the tribute with gratitude and encouragement, reminding fans that genuine support especially from peers can be incredibly powerful.
