Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Hassan Ali Joho has reaffirmed the Coast region’s support for President William Ruto’s development agenda following a leaders’ engagement with residents in Garsen, Tana River County.
Joho said the meeting brought together Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana, Garsen MP Ali Wario and other regional leaders as part of efforts to strengthen unity across the Coast.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, the public engagement was aimed at promoting a shared vision for development while encouraging residents to take advantage of government programmes designed to improve livelihoods.
“The overwhelming assurance from the people reaffirmed our collective resolve to stand together behind the transformative leadership of President William Ruto and his development agenda,” Joho said.
He noted that leaders from the region are united in supporting investments being undertaken by the government in key sectors, including infrastructure, the blue economy, agriculture, tourism, education and job creation.
Joho said the Coast region is positioning itself to maximize opportunities arising from the government’s development initiatives, adding that collaboration among leaders will be key to achieving sustainable economic growth.
He emphasized that the region’s commitment to unity, development and inclusive growth remains firm despite political differences.
“Our focus on championing unity, development and inclusive growth for the benefit of every resident of our region will never be derailed,” he said.
