The Communist Party Marxist (CPM) Kenya has announced the formation of its Politburo, marking a pivotal step in its revolutionary agenda.
The Politburo, established after the 1st Central Organising Committee Plenum and the 2nd National Congress Youth Leadership meeting, held on November 24–25, 2024, at Taj Towers, Nairobi, is now the party’s highest decision-making body between committee meetings.
Under the leadership of Comrade Walter Nyaluogo, the Politburo is tasked with steering the party’s ideological, political, and organizational efforts toward a National Democratic Revolution and a socialist transformation of Kenya.
Operating on Marxist-Leninist principles, its roles include policy development, crisis resolution, maintaining unity and discipline, and acting as CPM Kenya’s global representative.
The body also oversees the Pio Gama Pinto Institute for revolutionary education and drives theoretical work through publications like Itikadi and Mpatanishi.
Members of the Politburo, including Walter Nyaluogo (Chair), Booker Omole, Kaluka Mwaivu, and others, were selected for their ideological clarity and commitment to socialism.
The CPM Kenya affirms that this milestone strengthens its dedication to national liberation and a socialist Kenya.
The announcement was signed by Comrade Booker Omole, General Secretary of CPM Kenya.
