Kenyan rapper Colonel Mustafa has opened up about his long-standing relationship with legendary musicians Lovi Longomba and Nasty Thomas, revealing their bond goes beyond music and to their childhood.
“Me, Nasty and Longomba tunasahre background. I was talking to Lovi the other day and he was very happy vitu zinaenda vizuri, nimepata hata sponsorship,” Mustafa said.
Mustafa revealed Lovi advised him to continue with his music production, as he admires the determination, he puts in the music industry.
“Lovi ameniambia niendelee kupambana na muziki. Hii ni kitu yetu, we have to do it. Na kuna ngoma amesema atanitengenezea na I can’t wait,” he said.
He emphasized that his bond with Lovi remains strong despite years of personal struggles and industry challenges.
Mustafa stated his upcoming music celebration for 25 years in the industry on October 10, at Imperial Lounge along Kwaheri Road off Kiambu Road. He said he will celebrate his musical journey alongside fans, friends and some of the artists who have been part of journey.
He mentioned that the event will feature singer Marya and former Kleptomaniax member Nazizi.
