Capital Group Limited has announced the appointment of Symon Bargurei as its new Managing Director, effective June 1, 2025.
Bargurei brings over 18 years of leadership experience across media, commercial strategy, and enterprise growth.
He has held senior roles at leading organizations, including Unga Holdings, Nation Media Group, and The Standard Group.
“Symon’s deep understanding of the media landscape, combined with his commercial acumen and passion for innovation, makes him uniquely positioned to lead Capital Group into its next era,” said Mary-Ann Musangi, Director of Capital Group Limited.
Previously Group Strategy and Innovation Director at Unga Holdings, Bargurei is known for driving transformational change, developing consumer-driven content platforms, and leading successful product and brand growth strategies.
He is also widely respected for mentoring teams and building sustainable competitive advantage.
He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi and an Executive MBA from Strathmore Business School. His leadership credentials are further bolstered by executive education from Oxford University, IESE Business School, Strathmore Business School, and the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is a member of the Institute of Customer Experience (ICX).
Bargurei’s appointment signals a strategic shift as Capital Group looks to strengthen its position in the media industry through innovation and dynamic leadership.
