Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara becomes the third of their children to reportedly drop off her father’s surname.
Zahara changed her name to Zahara Marley Jolie from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, with the court filing showing a California judge approved the change with no objections.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romance and marriage split in 2016, after 12 years together and two years of marriage, divorcing in December 2024. They share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Zahara was adopted in 2005 from Ethiopia, has long been seen as one of the most poised and independent of the Jolie-Pitt children. She petitioned “Pitt” to be removed from her last name on June 9, in a filing that dated back to April 28.
Maddox also filed his petition to remove his father’s last name from Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt to Maddox Chivan Jolie. Maddox and Zahara follow the legal move of Shiloh, who filed to drop Pitt’s name in 2024.
