Bidco United’s six-match winless streak continued, but they managed to climb off the bottom of the table with a 1-1 draw against Ulinzi Stars at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Friday.
The match, which kicked off the weekend’s action at the foot of the table, saw Bidco take an early lead when Jacob Onyango scored within the first minute.
However, their strong start was short-lived as Ulinzi Stars levelled the score in the second half, with Telena Ochieng netting a well-deserved equalizer in the 47th minute.
Previous encounters between the two teams had been closely contested, with five of their nine meetings ending in draws, and this match followed suit. The 1-1 result wasn’t enough for either side to make significant progress in the standings.
With the draw, Bidco moved up one place to 17th, tied on points with bottom-ranked Posta Rangers, while Ulinzi climbed to 10th.
