Content creator and influencer Faustne Baba Talisha has narrated a harrowing experience after his stolen iPhone was tracked all the way to Uganda.

Sharing on social media, Faustne said his phone disappeared earlier in the week when he was in Ngong town. Through the FIND MY feature on his MacBook, he first got a notification that placed the phone in Ngong for about six to seven hours before it went offline. Later that night, when he checked again, he was shocked to find the device in transit, heading towards Kisumu, and eventually crossing the border into Uganda.

“I knew immediately where it was being taken to. Actually, the phones get transported in a bus,” he said, adding that he could see its location moving for about 20 minutes before the thieves signed it out of his iCloud account.

Faustine said he had contacted the authorities but was disappointed by the lukewarm help, adding that he even had the exact coordinates of the stolen phone before it was switched off.

He took the opportunity to advise others to be attentive during events and in crowded places; thieves often target early ticket-buying individuals just for their phones.

“Be vigilant at all times you go to these events. The thieves are the first to buy those tickets they go home with over 20 phones,” he wrote.

Faustne concluded his message on a sad note, admitting that the loss was huge and devastating, while still hoping that “everything happens for a reason.”

The comment section is filled with messages of sympathy and encouragement from his followers, telling him to be strong and that others should take care of their belongings during public events.
