Atheists in Kenya Society (AIK) has joined the conversation on the social media gossip that has been going back and forth between media personality Rozinah Mwakideu and Pastor Robert Burale. Through a statement issued by the society’s president, Harrison Mumia, AIK requested Rozinah to prioritize her emotional well-being and embrace counselling and therapy as part of her healing journey.
We appeal to Rozinah Mwakideu to prioritize her emotional healing. She should undergo therapy and counselling to hasten healing and forgiveness. Atheists in Kenya Society stands by Pastor Robert Burale,” the statement stated.
The remarks trail Rozinah who hit the headlines with tearful social media uploads that refer to her past relationship with the motivational speaker and pastor. The uploads, which were watched in viral views online, elicited a huge online discussion in Kenyan cyber societies, with most having something to say about love, forgiveness, and emotional resilience.
Pastor Burale, the motivational speaker and pastor, has yet to comment on the issue. On the other hand, AIK’s surprise display of solidarity has left many reacting in different ways as some have praised them for seeking emotional healing while others have raised eyebrows over the association with a religious figure.
