Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo, who were abducted in Uganda, have been released.
Ugandan security officers allegedly abducted the two in Kampala on October 1 before releasing them on the night of Friday, November 7, marking 38 days in captivity.
According to the Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary, Korir Sing’Oei, Njagi and Oyoo were released to the Kenyan High Commission in Uganda after lengthy engagements.
They were then handed over to the Kenyan authorities at the Busia border crossing, where they were received by Busia County Commissioner, Chaunga Mwachaunga.
Njagi and Oyoo were abducted in Kampala, where they had gone to attend a political rally organised by the Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine.
