President William Ruto has shared an emotional message to his daughter Charlene following her wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge, reflecting on her journey from childhood to becoming a married woman.

In a heartfelt message shared on X on Friday, November 6, the President recalled watching Charlene grow up, saying he was filled with pride and happiness as she exchanged wedding vows with her husband in Mwanza, Tanzania.

“I have watched you grow from the little girl I once held in my arms into the strong, compassionate and remarkable young woman you are today,” Ruto wrote.

The Head of State described the occasion as one of the most fulfilling moments for a father, celebrating his daughter’s decision to begin a new chapter with someone she loves.

“Few moments bring a father greater joy than seeing his daughter find love, happiness and a companion with whom to build a future,” he added.

Ruto also acknowledged his wife, First Lady Rachel Ruto, and their other children, saying the entire family was celebrating Charlene’s special day with immense joy.

The President used the occasion to offer marriage advice to the newlyweds, reminding them that a lasting union requires more than love.

He urged Charlene and Yunge to embrace friendship, patience, kindness and forgiveness as they build their life together.

“May you always find strength and comfort in each other, joy in the little things and courage to face life’s challenges together,” he told the couple.

Ruto also warmly welcomed Yunge into the family, expressing happiness at the union between the two families.

“Yunge, we welcome you warmly into our family, just as we are delighted to become part of yours,” he stated.

He concluded by wishing the couple a happy marriage, praying that their home would be filled with laughter, peace and fulfilment.

“Mungu awabariki na ailinde ndoa yenu daima,” the President added, asking God to bless and protect their marriage.

Charlene and Yunge exchanged their wedding vows in a ceremony held at Malaika Beach Resort in Mwanza, overlooking Lake Victoria.

The wedding followed their traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony held on August 8, 2026, at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.

The Mwanza celebration brought together family members, friends and prominent guests from Kenya and Tanzania as the couple officially began their married life.
