Charlene Ruto white wedding

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has given Kenyans a glimpse of her wedding preparations after sharing videos of herself trying on a bridal gown ahead of her upcoming white wedding.

In videos shared on her Instagram account, Charlene is seen wearing an elegant white gown featuring intricate floral details, complemented by a flowing cathedral-length veil. The fitting brought together her mother, First Lady Rachel Ruto, and younger sister, Stephanie Ruto, who helped her adjust the bridal outfit.

In one of the clips, Rachel is seen carefully arranging her daughter’s long veil and spreading the gown’s train across the grass in a garden to ensure it sat properly. Stephanie, who wore a black outfit, also joined in by adjusting the front of the dress and straightening the veil.

The intimate family moment comes as Charlene prepares to marry her Tanzanian fiancé, Isaya Yunge, in a white wedding expected to take place in Tanzania. Charlene’s bridal preparations have gained momentum in recent days following her arrival in Mwanza, where she received a warm welcome.

Videos circulating online showed a convoy of luxury sports utility vehicles (SUVs) at the airport, alongside traditional dancers who turned out to welcome the President’s daughter.

The wedding preparations also included a garden-themed bridal shower held in Nairobi on Tuesday, November 3. Charlene wore a white gown complemented by a gold tiara, while her guests, including Stephanie, dressed in pink.

The celebration featured a specially decorated cake bearing the messages “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe” and “Hey Mrs Yunge”. In a Facebook post, Charlene expressed gratitude to the women who attended, saying they celebrated her upcoming marriage, presented gifts and offered guidance on building her future family. She also singled out her mother for the support she had received throughout her life.

“A beautiful gathering where my mother, aunties, Senges and mother’s friends blessed my future marriage, prayed for me, loved on me, gifted me and guided me on how to invest in my life and family.

“Thank you, Mama, for being my prayer warrior and biggest cheerleader all my life,” she wrote.

Charlene and Yunge previously held their traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony on August 8, 2026, at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris. The ceremony attracted several prominent guests, including Cabinet Secretaries Aden Duale, Kipchumba Murkomen and Eric Mugaa, alongside politicians Gathoni Wamuchomba, Hilary Sigei and Linet Toto.

Yunge is a Tanzanian entrepreneur, technology advocate and social impact leader. He serves as chairman of the SOMAPP Foundation, a position he has held since 2020, focusing on expanding educational opportunities and promoting youth empowerment through digital innovation.
