The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has commenced a series of engagements with its grassroots officials in Nairobi as the party prepares for the 2027 General Elections.
The party began by meeting elected UDA constituency grassroots leaders drawn from all 17 constituencies in Nairobi County.
According to the party, the engagements will in the coming days extend to Ward and Polling Centre officials across all 85 electoral units as it seeks to strengthen its grassroots structures.
UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan, who spoke during the engagement, commended the officials for their continued support of the party and urged them to intensify membership recruitment.
He also called on the grassroots leaders to continue highlighting the achievements of the UDA administration and its ongoing national transformation projects in Nairobi.
UDA Executive Director Nicodemus Bore and his deputy, Higgins Mbugua, urged officials to help fill additional slots at polling centres, citing the high number of registered voters in some areas.
Principal Secretary for Lands Nixon Korir also attended the meeting and encouraged the leaders to support President William Ruto’s re-election bid.
Members of Parliament, including John Kiarie and George Theuri, party directors and several MCAs also attended the engagement.
