American R&B star Ne-Yo has announced his return to Kenya after 11 years, to perform live in Nairobi on October 20.
The three-time Grammy Award winner will feature “One Night Only: Brunch Edition,” with organizers promising a first -of- its kind live brunch experience in Nairobi.
The news has sparked excitement among fans eager to experience one of the genre’s iconic voices. Organizers have stated that tickets will be on sale beginning on September 12.They have also unveiled a tiered ticketing system designed to cater different audiences.
According to the event poster, tickets for the early bird will cost Ksh 7,500, while regular tickets will cost Ksh 15,000 and for the premium access will costs Ksh 40,000.
Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, is a singer, songwriter and producer whose career spans nearly two decades. Before his tour in Kenya, he will perform in Cape Town, South Africa on October 17 and Pretoria on October 18.
His last performance in Kenya was August 2015 during the third season of Coke Studio Africa, where he performed with Kenyan rapper Wangechi, Tanzania Ali Kiba, Uganda Maurice Kirya and Nigeria Ice Prince.
Ne-Yo is known for his music hits “So Sick,” “In My Own Words,” “Miss Independent.” He has collaborated with Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher and Celine Dion.
