American rapper 50 Cent

American rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has described marriage as the biggest investment but ultimately “bad contract” when it fails to serve its purpose, while reflecting on the difficulties that can come with divorce, child support and prolonged disputes between couples.

Speaking in an interview on the Raw Life Review Show, 50 Cent said marriage requires significant investment in time and energy, but can become complicated when the relationship breaks down.

“Marriage is the biggest investment. You invest time and energy, it’s a bad contract. You invest time and energy and then it goes left, you feel crazy,” 50 Cent said.

He stated the challenges of commitment, the pressure of public life and the evolving definitions of partnership have thrived into unapologetic views, where marriage requires people to renegotiate their expectations and agreements when things change.

According to him, the process becomes exhausting as partners repeatedly demand more from each other in love, commitment and practicality, as most relationships are increasingly being discussed not just terms of romance but in terms of investment, risk and return.
