American rapper Kiari Kendrell Cephus, popularly known as Offset, has opened up about his life journey growing up in poverty and in a Christian faith.
Offset said his early life was spent in a poverty household where financial hardship was a daily reality. Raised by a single mother, he noted that his family leaned heavily on Christianity during those difficult times and he was actively involved in church activities.
“I believe in God. I was raised in the church, and I even sang in the choir. My family was poor, so our faith was in God,” Offset said.

He added he chose to pursue in music despite the hard life he went through, believing his talent and determination to succeed came from going to church.
“I never came from a rich family. My turning point in life was when I was 17 years. I dropped out of school and didn’t have a plan to go to college. I had dream, so I pursued it,” he said.
Offset said his financial breakthrough in 2018 after performing with Migos, where each member earned $ 20 million in that year.
He emphasized that artists should be careful with finances, recommending they use legitimate accounts to protect earnings and ensure long-term financial stability.
Offset was married to Cardi B, with three children whom they co-parent after Cardi B filed for divorce in July 2024.
