President William Ruto has praised Youth Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs, describing his rise from Bamba in Ganze, Kilifi County, to a senior government position as an inspiration to young Kenyans across the country.
The President said Jacobs’ journey demonstrates that leadership and excellence are not determined by one’s background, but by dedication, integrity and commitment to public service.
Ruto noted that it is uncommon for a young person from a remote area such as Bamba to ascend to the office of Principal Secretary, saying the achievement reflects the limitless opportunities available to all Kenyans regardless of where they come from.
The Head of State said the government remains committed to empowering young people and giving them opportunities to contribute meaningfully to national development.
According to the President, Jacobs has already distinguished himself as a hardworking and focused leader in the short time they have worked together, particularly through his efforts in advancing the interests and aspirations of the youth.
Ruto further said the appointment of the Youth PS reflects the administration’s belief that young people possess the ability and capacity to drive transformative change in the country.
He assured Jacobs of continued support and mentorship from senior leaders as he grows into a greater national leader for future generations.
The President also called on Kenyans to celebrate and support emerging young leaders who are committed to serving the nation with dedication and vision.
