Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to officially unveil the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) gubernatorial candidate for Kiambu County at party offices in Nairobi today.
Businessman John Mwaura, the Chief Executive Officer of Finsco Africa, is set to be formally welcomed into the party as its flagbearer in the upcoming Kiambu gubernatorial race.
On Monday, Mwaura was received by a host of leaders from Kiambu County, signaling growing political backing ahead of his official unveiling.
Mwaura on his social media pages captioned ,”The Official Unveiling of My 2027 Kiambu Gubernatorial Candidature,”
He is expected to face off with the incumbent governor, Kimani Wamatangi,Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a among others in what is shaping up to be a competitive contest for the county’s top seat.
