Kenyan media personality Jeff Koinange has joined a small circle of global tech enthusiasts after purchasing a rare limited edition Samsung trifold smartphone valued at about KSh609,000.
The premium device is among only 500 units released worldwide, placing it among the most exclusive foldable smartphones currently available. Its rarity and high price have made it a standout piece in the luxury tech space, attracting attention from collectors and high-profile buyers.
In a video shared online, Koinange is seen unboxing the device, slowly revealing its multi-fold design and unique detailing. The phone carries a special engraving, confirming it as “Piece Number 123 out of 500,” a mark that highlights its limited production and global exclusivity.
The Citizen TV journalist now joins a short list of Kenyan public figures who own the device. Earlier this year, Mike Sonko was also reported to have purchased the same limited edition phone, further drawing attention to the rare release within the country.
